Freckleton Annual Parish CouncilAssembly.
(Monday the 7th of April, starting at 6.30)
What is it?
TheAnnual Parish Assembly is when the current years retiring Chairman makes a
report/statement on
the
events of the last 12 months to the electors in the Parish of Freckleton.
Also
included on the agenda are:-
1.Financial statement - unaudited. - to be approved.
2.
A report by the Chairman of Finance.
3.
Followed by questions from the Electors of the Parish of Freckleton.
Why
hold an annual Assembly?
It
is part of the mandatory democratic process whereby the Parish Council
demonstrates its responsibility to the electors.
Who
is entitled to attend?
Every
elector in the Parish of Freckleton is entitled to attend.
What
is in it for me?
It
is your opportunity to take the Parish Council to task, raise your concerns or
ask for specific actions to be considered during the forthcoming year.
When
is it held?
It
is held in the Village Hall. This year 2008, it will be held on Monday 7th
of
April, starting at 6.30pm.
And
After?
You
will have the opportunity for an informal talk with one or more of your local
Ward Parish Councillors.
Inthe case of Freckleton Parish Council, three of the Parish Councillors are also
Fylde Borough Councillors, so Fylde Borough Council matters may also be aired.
The
normal monthly Parish Council meeting follows the Annual Assembly, and you are
invited to stay and witness the democratic process via the Parish Council in
action.
